Personal Fulfillment - Embrace the Possibilities
PERSONAL FULFILLMENT
There is an important human need where we need "personal fulfillment". Personal fulfillment is a feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment that comes from knowing that you have achieved something worthwhile. It is the feeling of achieving your goals and ambitions and reaching the highest level of success in whatever you do.
Set Realistic Goals
Set realistic goals and strive to reach them. Achieving goals gives you a sense of pride and accomplishment. When you have achieved your goals, take the time to reflect on them and appreciate the hard work and effort. Having a positive attitude and outlook on life also plays an important role in personal fulfillment.
Stay Focused on Things that Make You Happy
Stay focused on the things that make you happy and to be able to accept failure and learn from it. Finally, it is important to take time for yourself and to make sure that you are taking care of your mental and physical health. Taking care of yourself will help you to be able to reach your goals and ambitions and to achieve personal fulfillment.

"A growing share of the nation’s oldest workers are staying on the job longer. I just think people worry more about running out of [401(k) savings in retirement], so they tend to work longer to kind of keep saving longer.” working longer also enables people to delay claiming their Social Security retirement benefits, which can have significant financial advantages. Each month you can wait to claim between age 62, when people first become eligible, and age 70, when the benefit amount maxes out, will result in a bigger monthly Social Security check." (AARP)

Highlight your unique qualifications. As a senior, you may have more experience than other candidates applying for the role. Consider highlighting your unique skills, certifications and qualifications on your resume.
Prioritize flexibility. Consider looking for employers who offer flexibility to senior employees. You might prefer to work for a company that accommodates your activity levels and schedule.
Explore passions. Though you might gravitate to roles that match your career experience, consider exploring your passions. You might better enjoy your retirement by getting a job that matches your interests.
